Leaving nxt wk for 2 yr old's 1st WDW trip. SO x 100 excited!! Grands coming so hoping for some time to get drinks w husband after bedtime. Staying at WL. Suggestions for romantic places to get cocktails?

You should be 100 times excited Hilary!  A two year olds first trip to Walt Disney World is a magical, milestone moment. I still remember our oldest child's excited, astounded face when Mickey came to our table at Chef Mickey's breakfast when he was two. Now he is a senior is high school! You better believe we will be returning to Chef Mickey's this summer when we celebrate his high school graduation.

Grandparents love to babysit so do take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy a libation or two with your husband.  Downtown Disney is just a bus ride away from your resort so consider heading over to this area one evening. Skip the kid themed restaurants and head to the House of Blues or Paradiso 37 instead. Bongos Cuban Cafe offers mojitos and music and Raglan Road Irish Pub has Bailey's Shakes and Irish dancers.

Disney's Contemporary Resort is only a boat ride away from Disney's Wilderness Lodge so hop aboard. Once you arrive go straight to the top of the Contemporary to the California Grill. Sit at the bar and enjoy a glass of wine and the spectacular cheese board and then enjoy the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the viewing balcony.

Right in your resort is the Territory Lounge. Convenient and cozy this lounge serves standard drinks and appetizers.

    Enjoy!
