I will be leaving Hollywood Studios on 12-12-14 around 2:30 pm. I'd like to ride the monorail to the resorts, ending up at the Grand Floridian for an 8 pm dinner reservation at 1900 Park Fare. What's the best way to do this?

Hello Rita.  So happy you've stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  My family and I love checking out several different Walt Disney World Resorts.  Riding the monorail makes it easy to do so.

The monorail makes the following stops:
    • Magic Kingdom park
    • Disney's Contemporary Resort
    • Transportation and Ticket Center
    • Disney's Polynesian Village Resort
    • Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa
Leaving from Disney's Hollywood Studios, I would hop on the bus designated to Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Once you are at Disney's Contemporary Resort, you will be able to ride the monorail to the rest of the monorail resorts and end up at your final destination.

I hope this helps you plan your resort hopping afternoon!  One more thing - at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort there is a fun bar/lounge area on the second floor called the Tambu Lounge.  Try the Lapu Lapu, it is served to you in a whole pineapple complete with a fun umbrella.  It is my favorite adult beverage at Walt Disney World!

    Enjoy!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
