We are leaving for our first Disney trip in 18 days! We have a 3 year old - should we include Hollywood Studios on our agenda or is there enought there for a 3 year old to enjoy?

    Hi Lori!

I hope you have a magical first trip!  You are going when Walt Disney World is most beautiful; all of the parks and resorts will be displaying holiday decorations!

Whether you should go to Hollywood Studios or not depends on how much time you have at Walt Disney World.  There are several attractions that 3 year old children typically love:
    • Toy Story Mania
    • Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage
    • Voyage of the Little Mermaid
    • Beauty and the Beast Stage Show

Without a doubt, most 3 year old children love the Magic Kingdom and can easily spend multiple days there.  After that, I think it's not so clear.  Epcot's Future World, but not the World Showcase portion of Epcot, has some attractions suitable for 3 year old children.  Hollywood Studios is also in the same category.  A lot of parents pick Animal Kingdom over Epcot and Hollywood Studios because there are walking trails with animals and shows (Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo the Musical) that young children love.

If you have the Park Hopper option on your Magic Your Way tickets, I suggest trying to do a half day at the Studios and a half day at Animal Kingdom or Epcot.  If you do that, be sure to do Hollywood Studios in the morning as it is very hard to get into Toy Story Mania, a "must see" attraction.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
