We are leaving on our first Disney Cruise on Sunday. My son will turn 5 in 2 1/2 weeks, will be able to participate in activities on Castaway Cay with age limits of a minimum of 5?

    Hi Mindy,

Wow, I almost missed your question!  Hopefully you've got your bags packed and everything in order for your vacation.  The age limits are provided for the safety and welfare of the guests and wildlife on Castaway Cay.  I would assume that he will not be permitted, and since his birth date will be on his Key to the World Card there probably won't be any way to get around it.

That being said, it doesn't hurt to ask - and maybe you'll be surprised.  The worst that could happen is that they would say no.

For something special, you could check out the newly opened Pelican Plunge, but I recommend having your son wear a life jacket as the water can be deep in places.

I hope you have a wonderful time!
