I am leaving for Disney World May 1st! We are staying in the park but I would love to take my daughter to an actual beach. I research and found Cocoa Beach was the closest - what kind of transportation is available to get to and from the beach? Thanks!

Disney doesn't offer any transportation for guests wishing to visit nearby beaches.  That said, rental cars are available from various locations on Disney property.  Alamo and National cars can be rented at the Car Care Center.  You could also rent on-site from the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel.  Hertz has a location at Shades of Green (located next to Disney's Polynesian Resort).  There are also various locations at Downtown Disney area resorts from which cars can be rented.

Another option would be to hire a private driving service.  My family has used Happy Limousine in the past for transportation from Disney to Port Canaveral.  We were very pleased with the service they provided as well as pricing.
