    I am leaving for Disney 1/27/10 I have a reservation for dinner at the Wilderness Lodge which I will go to from Magic Kindom, the confirmation letter says to allow 75 minutes? Is that true? Is there diect travel btw Wilderness and Port Orleans French Q?

    Hi Sonia!

    The easiest way to get to the Wilderness Lodge is to take the boat from the Magic Kingdom.  You catch the boat outside security; as you face the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Polynesian, the ferry dock will be to your left and the monorail station will be to the right -- the boat dock for the Wilderness Lodge is in the middle.

    I would plan on 30 minutes to exit the Magic Kingdom and to arrive at your restaurant in the Wilderness Lodge.  That includes the time it takes to walk from the Wilderness Lodge boat dock to the restaurants (Whispering Canyon Cafe or Artist Point.); that walk is very short.

    Unfortunately, there is no direct Disney transportation between the Wilderness Lodge and Port Orleans French Quarter.  My suggestion would be to take the boat back to the Magic Kingdom and then catch the bus for Port Orleans.  An alternative would be to take a taxi from the Wilderness Lodge directly to your resort hotel.  I have found taxis to be quick and relatively inexpensive when traveling on Walt Disney World property.
