We are leaving on a Disney dream cruise next week and are wondering how luggage is handled upon disembarking for those who are driving.

    Ahoy Kathy!
It's great to hear from you again!  Can you believe it's almost your turn for a magical Bahamian voyage? It won't be long now before the crew of the Disney Dream will be welcoming your family aboard for your magical vacation!
My family has driven to the port many times so I'll be happy to fill you in on how disembarkation will work.  Once you leave the ship, you will collect your luggage in the cruise terminal.  Before you place it outside your stateroom door the evening before, you will place a character tag on each piece which is where you will find it in the terminal.  Porters will be available to assist you while you collect your luggage and will wait in line with your family while you pass through U.S. Customs.  After passing through customs, the porters will take your luggage all the way to your parking spot.  The use of porters is optional, but we have found them very helpful!
Although leaving the ship is not easy, Disney Cruise Line's disembarkation process is the best I've experienced so I hope you will also experience a smooth sea to land transition!
If you have any other last minute questions, please let me know!
Best wishes for a wondrous sea vacation, Kathy!
