We are leaving for Disney in about 26 days:) Considering upgrading from the Dining Plan to the Deluxe to get the 3 meals. DH eats a lot, but I don't eat much. Are we better off to keep the reg DP and pay cash at some of the q. svc? 2 adults 1 child. ty

    Hi Jennifer,

The Disney Dining Plan is a wonderful way to experience all the fantastic restaurants offered throughout Walt Disney World!  If you do choose to upgrade to the Deluxe Dining Plan, I would make sure that you make Advanced Dining Reservations for all your Table Service meals.  Unless you are going to eat at some of the dinner shows and the Signature restaurants everyday, I am not sure this will be worth the money to upgrade.  I would recommend eating at some of the buffets if your husband is not usually satisfied with a regular portion at meal time.  My first instinct would be to say that you are better to just pay for any extra meals or pay for an additional appetizer at your meal for him.  If you are going using at least two Table Service meal credits every day, it will be worthwhile financially to upgrade.  It will just depend on what your dining schedule looks like, Jennifer.  I would keep the regular Disney Dining Plan.  Please let me know if I can help you further with your vacation planning!
