We are leaving for our 1st Disney Cruise to the Bahamas in a few short days on the Dream. When I checked-in, it assigned us a 3 pm time to board the boat. What are the chances we will be able to board sooner?

    Hi Debra,

I'm so excited for you!  The Dream is an amazing ship that I really enjoyed sailing on.  Mine was an extraordinary experience, and I'm sure that yours will be also.

The terminal at Port Canaveral opens between 11:00am and 11:30am. The cruise line will start checking Guests in at approximately 1:00pm.  I will tell you that I have checked in earlier, but really, it depends on when US Customs clears the ship for a new sailing, so there is no definite time. You have to be on the ship no later than 3:40 to 4:00 pm. The ship will depart at 5:00pm.  Your chances of getting onboard before 3pm is excellent.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel.  Have a magical trip!
