We are leaving in 7 days!!! What park do you suggest for a forecasted rainy day? I have checked the weather forecast for one of our days and it is predicting 40% chance of rain. Is there a park that would be better for us to do on that day? Thanks again!

    Hi John,

I wouldn't let the rain (or chance of rain spoil) your fun.  I'd recommend picking up some rain ponchos before your trip (you can get them in a local dollar store or sporting goods store, they are also available in the parks) and a portable umbrella.  When it rains, you'll see thousands of park-goers decked out in a sea of plastic.  It's actually quite funny, as most people I know wouldn't be seen anywhere outside of Disney in such fashionable attire!  Many of the attractions are indoors, and, therefore unaffected by weather.  Some exceptions are Test Track at Epcot, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain at the Magic Kingdom that will sometimes close on and off if there is lightning.  There are many outdoor rides that will continue to operate during the rain, however, so don't worry!  Weather in Florida tends to come and go quickly, so even if a day has a shower or two, it's usually followed up by sun.

The crowds tend to thin out when it rains, and if you have the right state of mind (i.e., who cares if I'm a bit wet), rainy days can be a great way to enjoy the parks with shorter waits.  Last summer, we were in the parks during Tropical Storm Faye.  It was quite an adventure.  We were a bit wet, but got to see and ride everything on our to do list!

If you really want to stay dry, DisneyQuest at Downtown Disney is an excellent option.  This "virtual" theme park is included if you have the waterpark fun and more option on your park ticket or can be accessed via a separate, one-day admission.

    Have a great trip!
