We're leaving in 3 days! DH and I love the Olympics. Where in the World should we watch the opening ceremonies? Also, suggestions for various spots around the parks to catch up on Olympic headlines and major events? Love the panel, you rock my socks!

Hi Kendall!  I too am a great big Olympics fan and plan on watching as much as I can! Will be cheering on our great athletes as they strive for excellence in London!

The Olympics will be shown on major network station so your resort room should have most of the prime time events.  Obviously you won't want to sit there all the time with four great parks waiting to be explored. If you are in Epcot you can dash out the International Gateway entrance and head to ESPN Club on the Boardwalk. It is only a five minute walk and you can grab some lunch while you catch the updates if you choose. Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports will also likely have updates and events being shown at that complex. That is a long diversion from the parks so not sure you will want to head there for an event or two. It would be a fun place to spend a few hours but not just to pop in to get the updates.

You will not find televisions in the parks but most resorts will have bars or lounges where you can see some of the action if it is on. If there is something special you are really interested in getting updated about you can certainly head to a Guest Relations to see if they can check it on their computers. If you have a phone that is capable you can also check on that. I just saw that there is some sort of Olympic app that I am going to check on getting myself!

Enjoy both the wonderful world of Disney and the Olympics next week!
