Hi moms! Leaving in 7 days! So excited. Would love some advice on what we should pack in backpacks for the parks. Traveling with 3 kiddos 3,2,1. Also don't have a park ticket for the day we get in since we get in later, what should we do?

Hi Kristin!  I recommend you check into your resort on your first day and enjoy the amenities that your resort offers.  Swimming in the pool is a great way to start a Florida Disney vacation or renting boats if your resort is on water.  It is also a good time to head to Downtown Disney to shop and see some of the sights there and grab dinner at one of the fine restaurants.

I think the biggest mistake when packing up a bag or backpack is thinking that you have to take everything but the kitchen sink.  Don't overload and try to keep it to basic needs.  If the weather is saying rain take the light weight Disney rain ponchos with you versus the heavy raincoats that most have.  Small bags of snacks are better then a big bag of chips or cookies.  Water is the drink of choice to take so kids are not drinking lots of juice and sodas all day. You can purchase this many places if you don't want to lug it in the backpack. Take extra diapers but don't stress if you need more as they are available as with most baby items at the Baby Care Centers in each park. Wipes are handy for meals as well as mess ups along the way and a couple of bandaids are always good to have on hand. Sunscreen is a must for the hot Florida sun and hats and sunglasses help if your children will keep them on. Bring typical diaper bag needs such as ointments and bibs but don't overload.
