Hi Carla. I wouldn't worry to much about crowds as this time of year is among the quieter times to visit. I live in Florida and make day trips over around this time given that crowds are always quite reasonable. To further reduce any concern you may have, the week you are attending (10/5 - 10/11) remains on Disney's list of Great Times to Visit. This is a particularly useful site when considering dates to visit. Disney helps identify times of the year that are better times to visit when factoring in crowds, weather and cost. This week is one of those. Hope you and you crew have a great time!
