When leaving the cruise ship for the day in Nassau, is it required or recommended to bring passports with you?

    Welcome aboard, Matt!

I just returned from Nassau a few weeks ago. The new and improved port area is easy to navigate and a great place to walk around in search of the perfect souvenir. It’s recommended that you leave your passport on the ship locked in your stateroom safe. When going ashore, each adult must carry a photo ID, and every Guest will have their Key to the World Card scanned upon disembarking and returning to the ship.

When your ship receives the all-clear, the captain will announce that Guests may begin disembarking and make their way ashore. Guests traveling on Disney Port Adventures usually use the forward gangway. If you plan to explore on your own, please make sure you're back on the ship before the designated all-aboard time. Captain Mickey is on a strict schedule.

Matt, I hope you have a wonderful time on your Disney Cruise! Make sure you download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before you set sail. It's your key to accessing your itinerary, checking out your dining rotation, and discovering all the exciting activities lined up for each day. If you need any more help or information, feel free to let me know.
