Hello, we are leaving in a cruise out of San Diego on october30, 7 nights Mexican riviera. Do you know the special nights , like dress up and halloweeen? Thank you

    Ahoy, Kevin!

Welcome back to planDisney! Halloween on the High Seas aboard the Disney Magic is a great way to explore the Mexican Riviera!

It looks like there may have been some rough surf and my original answer to this question from May must have sunk to the bottom of the ocean before making it to you, so let’s give it another shot! Here is the current lineup for your sailing:
    • Day 1 (San Diego) – Cruise Casual
    • Day 2 (At Sea) – Mickey’s Mouse-querade and Trick-or-Treating
    • Day 3 (At Sea) – Formal Night
    • Day 4 (Puerto Vallarta) – Cruise Casual
    • Day 5 (Cabo San Lucas) – Pirate Night
    • Day 6 (At Sea) – Semi-Formal Night
    • Day 7 (Ensenada) – Cruise Casual

Sailing on Halloween makes this voyage that much more spooktacular, and October 31st just had to be the day for the main Halloween on the High Seas festivities. Mickey’s Mouse-querade and trick-or-treating will give you the chance to get into the Halloween spirit, while Pirate Night brings a completely different kind of adventure later in the sailing. With Formal Night and Semi-Formal Night mixed in as well, you’ll have a few different opportunities to dress up during your cruise.

Once you’re onboard, be sure to double-check your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the latest times and locations. Entertainment schedules can change, so you’ll want to let the Navigator app be your treasure map for the final details once you’re sailing.

If you’re looking to get your stateroom into the Halloween spirit, I recommend bringing along some magnetic hooks and battery-powered pumpkin lights. My crew and I love adding these lights along with a few decorations to our stateroom door. Not only does it get us in the Halloween mood, but it also makes finding our stateroom that much easier for the kids after a day of exploring the ship. Just be sure to keep the décor on the door and not on the walls or ceilings so your decorations don’t wander where they aren’t supposed to!

I hope this helps you get your packing list ready and know which nights you’ll want to have your costumes and dressier outfits at the ready. With the Halloween party on the actual night of Halloween, Pirate Night on the horizon, and the Mexican Riviera waiting outside your porthole, your crew is in for quite an adventure aboard the Disney Magic!

Sea ya real soon as summer waves goodbye and autumn magic begins to shine,
    Dustin
