Leaving on cruise July 02. How far in advance can I book youth activities on board?

Ahoy there, Nancy! Welcome aboard planDisney! If there's one thing prettier than a Magnolia in May as Lottie would say, it's the sight of a Disney Cruise Line ship coming into view for you in July! I'm sure you're itching to finish planning so the rest of your time even THINKING about your cruise can be just that - REST!

The important dates to remember for any Disney Cruise Line vacation are your Final Payment Due Date, your Castaway Club status booking window, and your Online Check-In! While not all of these affect when you can book activities, they're "The Three Caballeros" of dates that will ensure you have all your planning put to rest!

When it comes to youth activities, you're in luck! Previously, during Disney Cruse Line's return to sailing, there were restrictions in place for windows of time to be booked at Disney's Oceaneer Club and Disney's Oceaneer Lab to help adhere to updated health and safety protocols - but according to the latest Know Before You Go Information, this no longer applies to your sail date! For general playtime in the youth activities spaces, you'll be able to simply drop your little sailor or sailors off at the entrance and let them have a great time exploring - no reservations required! This is a breath of fresh air for cruisers who are used to the convenience of open availability in the kids clubs!

I should mention that children under 5-years-old who are unable to be vaccinated will still be required to wear a mask, and unfortunately the "it's a small world" nursery is still currently unavailable. I definitely suggest bookmarking the Guide to Updated Experience page for updates on when our littlest cruisers can get back!

For ticketed or timed onboard activities for the entire family, those will still open up based on your Castaway Club status: 125 days before your sailing for Guests in Concierge Staterooms, 120 for Platinum, 105 for Gold, 90 for Silver, and 75 days before your sailing for new cruisers! Oh, and the reason your final payment due date - the "3rd Caballero" - is important is you must be paid in full when your booking window opens in order to make reservations, so definitely prioritize that as well!

I hope that helps you and your crew set a course for your cruise this July, Nancy! Thank you so much for sailing my way with your question! If any others surface and throw some rough seas at you as you continue planning please let me know by dropping me another line here at planDisney!

Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
