We leave for WDW in less than two weeks! We are scheduled to arrive early afternoon, but I noticed checkin at the Wilderness Lodge is around 3. I was hoping to put my kids (2 and 5) down for naps. Will early check-in be possible? Any other suggestions?

We have been allowed to Check In early to our room many times.  On one vacation, after disembarking the Disney Cruise line, we were in our room before 9:30 a.m.

However, there have been a few times when we were waiting right until the official check in time before our room key was given to us. This seems to happen more often at the deluxe resorts, especially the Grand Floridian.

The Wilderness Lodge will do everything that they can to accommodate your need for a room. When you Check In, let the Cast Member know your preference for an immediate room. The Cast Member may be unable to meet any earlier requests that you made such as for a particular view, floor, etc. if getting in to a room immediately is your number one priority.

If a room is unavailable, we've found that relaxing by the pool is rejuvenating and refreshing. You could follow up your swim with a nap once you are in your room.

    Have a magical vacation!
