Jack from TX Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We leave from Vancouver on Aug 1,2022. Which nights are formal or semiformal? Which night is the Frozen theme?

Ahoy there, Jack! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited that you'll soon be embarking on a cruise to America's Last Frontier in just about a month and a half! It's absolutely thrilling to watch those last few days of the countdown tick away! I hope you're ready to set a course for adventure and venture into the unknown on my favorite ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the Disney Wonder! While Atohallan may only know the mysteries of the dark sea, we here at planDisney know a thing or two about the goings-on aboard.

While you may feel "lost in the woods," right now, your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will update the minute you get aboard with the specific schedule of events - including the dress code for each night! The first night is always "Cruise Casual," so you can settle into your first night at the amazing dining options aboard! From there, you can expect one formal night, and one semi-formal night. Now, which night each falls on specifically can vary depending on the Ports of Call you'll be visiting, but since Alaskan cruises swap in a visit from Anna, Elsa, and their friends in "Freezing the Night Away," I'd expect that to fall on whichever night you visit a glacier! Again, the minute you board, your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be able to show you which night to dress to the nines and which to dress to...well...I guess half of the nines would be the...4.5s?

    Anyway.

From a rousing deck party to an Arendellean menu takeover, you'll have plenty of opportunities to experience the fun and magic of your favorite moments and characters from Frozen!

Aside from Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure aboard the new Disney Wish, these themed activities are the best way to see your favorite characters aboard the Disney Wonder - well, this and the incredible Broadway-style show offered in the Walt Disney Theatre on your sailing!

Now it's important to note that even though there is a deck party planned, there are no fireworks at sea on Alaskan sailings...you may or may not have thought about this, but it's likely to still be light out late into the evening! Combined with all the natural beauty that surrounds the Disney Wonder while you're in Alaskan waters, I'd say you're not missing out on anything!

I hope that helps you plan for August, Jeff! Thank you so much for sailing my way with your question and if you have any others as you continue to plan, please be sure to sail my way again here at planDisney!

Have fun finding out what Frozen things do in Summer!
