Hi there, Tammy!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Can you believe that in less than a week you will be celebrating onboard the B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Disney Fantasy?!?! I am so excited for the adventure that awaits you with Captain Mickey at the helm!
I am so glad you stopped by with your question about packing “dos and don’ts”; packing is always my least favorite part of a vacation (well, aside from the unpacking and laundry after since that means vacation is over), but I am always worried I will forget something! Thankfully, the onboard shops can come to the rescue in the event you’ve forgotten something – even a bathing suit – coming from personal experience that I had two very unhappy littles when I failed to pack a swimsuit for our Northern Europe adventure! Mama thought it would be too cold, but thankful for Mickey’s Mainsail to the rescue! That being said, I always recommend checking Disney Cruise Line’s suggested
packing list, including the
prohibited items list. Whenever in doubt about bringing certain items, my recommendation is always to err on the side of caution and leave those items at home. When it comes to essential oils, they may be seen as highly flammable items in use with a diffuser and confiscated upon baggage check. I think the same might go for the coffee frother; if one is uncertain of its use, it may be seen as a prohibited item and removed from your bags. So, I suggest leaving those particular items at home and opt for another option during your voyage. We always bring roll-ons of our favorite Lavender for bedtime onboard and have not had any issues with that. I do carry it in my carry-on, like I would any medication, instead of putting it in my checked luggage. As far as coffee goes, be sure to stop by the
Cove Café and indulge in one of their delicious coffee drinks! They even offer stamp or punch cards for frequent visits during your voyage!
Wishing you a FANTAStic and memorable adventure at sea! Say hi to Captain Mickey for me!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
