can I leave and return to a park on the same day

    Hey there, hi there Lori,

    Welcome to plan Disney!

While I have stayed at a park from rope drop (park opening) to the end night, it can be a really long day, even if you love Walt Disney World.

Great news! You can absolutely leave the park and head back to your resort to swim, rest, take a nap, or just relax. Then you can return to the park, rejuvenated and ready for an evening of fun. Even if you don't head back to your resort, sometimes just leaving to dine at one of the Disney Resort Hotels or do some shopping and dining in Disney Springs can provide the break that you might be looking for. I highly recommend splitting up your day a bit in this way. Just keep in mind, unless you have purchased the Park Hopper Option, you can only return to the same park where you began your day.

    Hope this helps. Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
