Hiya Aman,
Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your theme park ticket question. Oh boy, visiting Disney in December is truly something special. It’s the merriest time of the year, when Main Street is dressed in shimmering garland, twinkling lights, and festive wreaths, and Cinderella Castle sparkles like freshly fallen snow. Even the Disney Resorts are decked out in their holiday best, with grand lobbies featuring some of the most breathtaking Christmas trees you’ll ever see.
Now, let’s unwrap your question like a gift from under the tree! If you’re using a standard theme park ticket or a Park Hopper
ticket, you can absolutely leave the park to enjoy lunch at your Resort and return later the same day—just keep in mind that re-entry depends on park capacity. During the holiday season, especially on Holidays themselves, parks can reach capacity due to the extra holiday magic in the air.
While you’re here soaking up all that festive Disney magic, don’t miss the C
hristmas Tree Stroll at Disney Springs. Here you will find beautifully themed trees, each inspired by different Disney movies and characters—it’s perfect for photo ops! Also, over at EPCOT, don’t forget to visit the
Festival of the Holidays. You’ll find holiday storytellers situated all around the world showcase, the inspiring Candlelight Processional, and my personal favorite—the Holiday Cookie Stroll! Collect stamps for each cookie you try, and you’ll earn a special sweet treat at the end. It’s one of my family’s favorite holiday traditions.
Aman, I hope this helps answer your question and gets you even more excited for your upcoming visit. Please feel free to visit if you have any additional questions.
See ya real soon,
Christina
