Hi there, Ashley! You're as welcome as can be here at planDisney!
I'm so happy to have the opportunity to help you get ready for your visit to
Disneyland Resort! In order to visit one of the Disneyland Resort theme parks, you'll need a
valid park ticket and a
theme park reservation. During your visit to either
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park, you may leave and re-enter the same park as many times as you need to throughout the day.
If you would like to visit both parks in one day, you'll need a
Park Hopper ticket. With your Park Hopper ticket, you'll want to make your theme park reservation for the first park you plan to visit. You can start your day at this park, then once Park Hopper hours begin, you'll be able to come and go between the two parks as much as you wish. Currently, Park Hopper hours begin at 11:00 a.m. (based on availability), but be sure to check the
Park Hours calendar or the
Disneyland app for the most up-to-date Park Hopper hours.
If you're staying at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel or other nearby accommodations, it can be a good idea to leave the theme parks for a mid-day rest. A nap or some pool time is a great way to rest and recharge so that you're ready for more theme park fun in the evening. A visit to
Downtown Disney District is also a great option for a theme park break. I would recommend relaxing with a drink at
Ballast Point Brewing Co. or some ice cream at
Salt & Straw.
Ashley, if you have any other questions as you get ready to travel to The Happiest Place on Earth, please visit us at planDisney again. We're all ears! See ya real soon!
