Hiya, Mandy! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your excellent question.
If you ask me, there has never been a better time to visit
Walt Disney World Resort! From
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration to new attractions like
Remy's Ratatouille Adventure and the upcoming opening of
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, there is something exciting to explore at every turn. So, I'm pleased to see that you’re planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I bet you are growing more and more excited with each passing day, so let’s get your question answered so you can get back to planning!
I am happy to share that you can absolutely enter the park with your
theme park ticket, leave mid-day, and then head back later in the afternoon! In fact, this is something I do on almost every visit. I love Walt Disney World, but I don’t always love the heat. So, I like to get to the parks bright and early and walk around until it gets super hot. Then, I’ll head back to my
Disney Resort Collection hotel for a dip in the pool and a quick nap before heading back to the park in the evening once it’s cooled down a bit. So, I think you’ve got the right idea, Mandy!
However, there are a couple of things I should note. First, you will need to make sure to secure your
Park Pass Reservations. As a reminder, you'll need to make a reservation for the first park you plan to visit each day. Next, while you can leave the park mid-day, you would not be able to visit a DIFFERENT park unless you have added the
Park Hopper Option to your ticket. In this case, you can head over to another park after 2 p.m. each afternoon. If you don’t have the Park Hopper Option, you would only be able to go back to the same park in the evening after your break.
Mandy, if you’re visiting any time before March 31st, 2023, you’ll get to join in on the fun of Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration! There is so much to enjoy during this super special time, including some fantastic shows available throughout all four theme parks. You won't want to miss the incredible nighttime spectacular,
Disney Enchantment, at
Magic Kingdom Park. Walt Disney World is famous for its impressive fireworks displays, but this one is really something special! Be sure to keep an eye on the
My Disney Experience app for showtimes during your visit, so you don’t miss out!
I do hope I have been helpful to you today! If you have any other questions, please feel free to visit us again, as we would love to help out!
Until next time,
Diana
