Hi Rachel:
With a standard Magic Your Way base ticket, you can enter, leave, and return to one Disney World park per day. For example, if your family uses a base ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom in the morning, you can leave the park to eat, return to your resort, relax at the pool, shop in Downtown Disney, or enjoy time at a spa. When you are ready to return to the Magic Kingdom that day, simply return to the park and present the same ticket you used earlier in the day. So, in the scenario you describe, you will not need the Park Hopper option. If you want the flexibility to visit more than one park on the same day, you will need to add the Park Hopper option to your ticket. Enjoy your vacation.
Visit Walt Disney World Resort to explore the magic.
