Hiya Jeff! Welcome to planDisney!
One of my favorite aspects about a Walt Disney World Resort trip is being able to come and go from the parks throughout each day! Having the flexibility to extend your vacation days by returning to your resort for a mid-day swim or eating lunch at a restaurant outside of the park is one of the best parts. There have been countless visits when our family needed a two-hour break to recharge and get ready for the evening festivities.
In regards to your question, if you have a
park reservation to one of the four theme parks, you will be allowed reentry throughout that entire day. A park will rarely reach capacity limitations, but I did confirm with a Cast Member that regardless of this happening, you will be able to enter the park again. Your park reservation guarantees you reentry for that day.
Jeff, if you have the
Park Hopper Option added to your tickets, you will be able to hop to any of the other three theme parks starting at 2 PM each day. If your family decides that after your break from the park, you want to switch it up and head elsewhere, you will have the option to do so. Park hopping is one of the best ways to extend your park day. You can start at the Magic Kingdom, stop back at your resort for a mid-day swim, head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios to check out Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, then hop on the Disney Skyliner to finish your night off with Harmonious at EPCOT. You'll almost feel as though you had three days packed into one!
Keep in mind that the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration is ongoing and doesn't end until the end of March 2023. You still have plenty of time to plan your next stay to experience everything that this celebration has to offer. There are numerous treats around the parks and resorts to help commemorate this joyous occasion.
Jeff, I hope this information helps you plan your next Walt Disney World stay!
