Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Elizabeth!
First things first:
excellent plan! You’ll be stopping by some of my very favorite places in Walt Disney World all in the same day. I’m swooning a little bit just thinking about it!
From
Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll be able to use
Disney Bus Transportation to
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. When you arrive, stop by the front desk and let them know you’re there to do a little exploring – they will give you lots of great tips. The
savanna viewing areas are so peaceful – I like to get a drink and sit and watch as animals come and go. There are also many recreation options around the resort, and a Cast Member can let you know what’s going on that afternoon. Be sure to check out the gorgeous, authentic African art that lines the resort’s hallways.
There is not direct bus service between Disney resort hotels, so you have a couple of options when it’s time to head to
Disney’s Old Key West Resort. You could hop on a bus headed to a theme park or Disney Springs, and then transfer to a second bus headed to Disney’s Old Key West Resort (
or a boat from Disney Springs). If you’re not worried about time and want to conserve budget, this is your best option – and the boat ride from Disney Springs to Disney’s Old Key West Resort is lovely. Your faster and easier option, though, is to call an Uber, taxi, or use
Minnie Van Service between the two resorts.
I’m thrilled to hear you’ll be eating at
Olivia’s Café at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. I love this resort’s Old Florida charm, and I feel relaxed just thinking about visiting. Olivia’s is our go-to restaurant when we’re celebrating – we love both the Prime Rib and the Buttermilk Chicken, and I highly recommend the Olivia’s potatoes as your side. I had the Turtle Krawl cocktail last visit, and it was fabulous.
After that amazing dinner, you’ll be able to hop on a Disney bus back to Magic Kingdom Park. I hope this means you’re planning to end this epic day by viewing the
Happily Ever After fireworks spectacular!
Have the best day ever, Elizabeth!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
