Leave for DW in 10 days and I broke my ankle this week. Will rent a WC for the parks and will have a walking boot but not sure if I will be able to tolerate walking/ standing by our trip. Any tips on how to get me from park exits to the buses& AKL reso

Hi, Kelly!  So, here's the thing.  The theme parks have courtesy wheelchairs to take guests from the disabled parking areas at the theme parks to the theme park entrance, where you can rent your wheelchair or ECV for the day.  Unfortunately, if you are not parked in disabled parking, these courtesy wheelchairs can be virtually impossible to find.

My personal recommendation would be to rent a wheelchair from an outside company, who will deliver it right to the resort.  This will help you get around the resort when you aren't able to walk or stand for any length of time, and you will be able to take it on Walt Disney World transportation to get you from your resort to the theme parks.

If you think you'll be able to do some walking, Disney transportation can get you close to things, but if you're in any pain or discomfort, it may be well worth it to have a wheelchair to use for the whole trip.

If you need any other help, just let me know!
