Hey there, Mitzi!
Yes, you are allowed to exit the Disneyland Resort theme parks and return to continue your adventure later in the day. And I highly recommend it! When I was much younger, I loved visiting the Disneyland Resort from park opening until park closing. It was great to soak up all the magic I could. But now that I’ve aged a bit, I find I need to slow down some. An afternoon break is almost always a must for me now. Park entry is subject to capacity limits. But with the
theme park reservation system now in place, it will likely be extremely rare for a park to reach its limits during your stay.
When you first activate your
theme park ticket, the Cast Member at the park entrance will take a picture of you and electronically link it with your ticket. When you exit and return later, your picture will serve as verification that the ticket belongs to you. So you may feel free to spend some time at your
hotel, enjoy shopping or a meal at the
Downtown Disney District, or, if you have a Park Hopper ticket, visit the other theme park after
Park Hopping hours begin!
I hope you have a marvelous time at the Disneyland Resort, Mitzi. We are happy you have stopped by planDisney to prepare for your visit. We’d be honored if you follow us on
