We leave for our Disney trip in two weeks. My 8 yr. old has injured her ankle making it difficult to walk long periods of time. We are trying to decide if we should rent a wheelchair or a stroller? She's about 65 lbs.

    Hi Stacy,

I'm sorry to hear that your daughter has injured her ankle and I hope that she heals quickly. While the Disney strollers are sturdy and solid, they are not particularly comfortable. They are hard plastic. Additionally, I believe an 8 year old would be a bit too big for the strollers and she would feel cramped. I recommend that you rent your daughter a wheelchair. There are the little foot pedals that she can rest her foot on while you push her around, although she may be a bit too small to reach those.

Multi-Day wheelchair rentals are $10 per day and multi-day stroller rentals are $13 per day, so you'll end up saving a bit with the wheelchair too.

I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation,
