    We leave for our Disney trip in 2 days! I have two question. 1) Are the water parks open all year round? 2) I heard Typhoon Lagoon is closed until the end of March 2009. Is this true. I hope not since I have purchased tickets two both parks. Thanks!

    Hi Wendy,

    Unfortunately Typhoon Lagoon is under refurbishment right now and is expected to re-open on March 21, 2009.  I am leaving for my vacation to Walt Disney World as well (tomorrow) and Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite Water Park...so I will really miss not being able to visit there on this trip...oh well, next time!  Not to worry though as Blizzard Beach will be open and don't get me wrong, Typhoon Lagoon is my personal favorite but most guests seem to have Blizzard Beach as a favorite and I do love that Water Park as well so you will certainly be able to enjoy your 2 days there.  The 2 day Water Park tickets you have purchased can both be used for Blizzard Beach by the way!  During the Winter months Disney World usually closes one of the Water Parks for refurbishment purposes but they will always have one of them open year-round.  If you have never been to Disney's Water Parks...you are in for a surprise, they are HUGE and so much to do there it'll make your head spin (in a good way of course!).  Have a magical trip and if you see me, say "Hi".
