Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Renee! You are only a few sleeps away from your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I am just so excited for you!
I’m so glad you stopped by with this question. Your friendly Disney Parks Moms Panelists are kind of obsessed with hydration in the theme parks. It’s so easy to get dehydrated in the Florida sun, with all the walking around and eating delicious salty snacks (I'm looking at you, Mickey pretzels with cheese), so it’s important to plan ahead. I’m sending you a Mickey-shaped trophy for preparedness!
I always bring my 32-ounce Hydro Flask water bottle filled with ice and water, and your Yeti should be allowed as long as it doesn’t have any glass components. While it’s true that
loose ice is prohibited per the
Park Rules, loose ice
in a water bottle is fine. If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you’ll be able to fill up at an ice machine or the soda machines on the beverage island at the Quick-Service restaurant or food court, and complimentary ice water is available at Quick-Service dining locations for your refills. Powdered drink mix should be fine as well.
Have an amazing time this week, Renee!
Now, more than ever, it’s a fantastic time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, and you’re going to have so much summer fun. There are tons of great
entertainment options around the theme parks, and shows are a great place to
beat the heat and drink your ice water while being immersed in new and classic stories and songs. Enjoy every minute!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
