    Hi Paula!

Believe it or not, my boys and i just tried this for the first time last month!  While they had never snorkeled before, the Cast Member encouraged them to go for it and swim with the sharks.  We picked up our snorkels and life jackets and then listened to a short but informative speech about how to snorkel and what to do when we hit the water.  Other than the water being SUPER COLD, it was completely awesome!  You aren't allowed to dawdle, so the swim goes by really quickly, but it was an experience that we all enjoyed.  Best of all, it was included in the park admission!

If you are interested in a little more one on one time with the sharks, you can now participate in the SAS or Surface Air Snorkeling program that costs $20 per half hour.  You don't have to be SCUBA certified, but you do need to be at least five years old.  Simply sign up at the entrance to Shark Reef!
