We leave in 10 days for our 1st trip to DW. Weather over the next 2 wks shows thunder/lightning/rain & I'm not sure what to expect. When it rains in Vancouver it is all day. Does the rain in FL tend to be concentrated but intense?

Yeah!  Your first trip to Walt Disney World! Be prepared to have a blast zooming down Space Mountain, eating Mickey ice cream, meeting princesses, and viewing spectacular fireworks.

Tiffani no worries about the weather. Central Florida tends to have quick, afternoon showers and thunderstorms in the summer while the rest of the day is clear and sunny. Expect some days with an afternoon thunderstorm, some days when no storms form even if forecast, and a rainy day or two. On our last trip to WDW earlier this summer we had a couple of rainy days and loved them. The clouds cool down the temperature and clear the crowds out of the parks. Pack a few dollar store ponchos in your luggage and enjoy the shorter lines.

Enjoy your first glimpse of Cinderella Castle!
