Hi! Leave in 32days. Have DDP, but have not made reserv. yet. Should I bother at this point? Prefer to eat within park we are in. Must I have all choices to call them, or can they just give me whats available when and where? I am so confused! lol THX

    Hi Carin,

You must be getting so excited for your upcoming vacation!  It will be here before you know it.  With most schools on vacation, summer is an extremely popular time to visit Disney World.  If you arrive unprepared, you may find that instead of a magical vacation, you end up hot, tired, hungry and miserable.

I definitely recommend making dining reservations in advance.  It's not too late.  Figure out your first choices for dining, and start with those.  Cast members at WDW-DINE are very helpful when it comes to fining alternate choices if the restaurant you want to dine at is unavailable.  Trust me, you'll be grateful that you made reservations ahead of time, especially when you see other guests being turned away.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
