Hey there, Elizabeth. Thanks for stopping by
planDisney with your question.
I'm excited to see that you are planning a vacation to
Walt Disney World later this year. I love visiting in the fall. You are arriving at a perfect time to be able to catch a glimpse of the Halloween decor around the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks AND the start of all the Christmas festivities and decorations. It's really great timing!
There are
two different types of tickets that are currently available for purchase. The first is a standard theme park ticket. This allows Guests to enter 1 park per day of their choosing with a
park pass reservation. You are able to leave that park and revisit that same park later in the day if you choose. The second option, which is the one you are leaning toward, is the standard ticket with a park hopper option. This ticket allows Guests to enter multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day based on capacity limitations. Park hopping is actually my favorite way to vacation at Walt Disney World. I love being able to wake up early and ride rides with little to no wait right when the park opens. After lunch, you can typically find me hanging by my
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel's pool and then heading to Epcot for dinner and drinks around the World Showcase. It's really a perfect day and I missed it last year when that option was not available. But luckily,
Park hopping has officially returned to Walt Disney World and I am excited about it. With its return, park hopping does look a little bit different.
Here's how park hopping is
currently working in 2021:
- Guests need to have valid theme park admission with the park hopper option
- Guests will be required to make a theme park reservation for a specific park each day they want to park hop
- Guests will need to visit and scan into the park with the theme park reservation
- Guests are allowed to park hop starting at 2:00 p.m. each day
- Guests do not need to make additional theme park reservations for parks they are wishing to hop to
- Park Hopping is subject to capacity limitations at this time
So with either ticket option, you'll be able to leave and revisit the theme park that you have a park pass reservation for on the same day. With the park hopping option you'll be able to visit multiple parks in one day, as long as there is theme park capacity availability. Either way, you can't go wrong, but I recommend going forward with the park hopper option.
I hope this helps clear up any questions you had about tickets, Elizabeth. If you have any other questions, please feel free to come back and ask. Happy planning!
