Greetings Jerry and welcome back to planDisney!
From one Michigander to another, Happy Spring! I say this with a little smile on my face as our state endures a major blizzard in the Upper Peninsula and an ice storm in our Northern counties. Your trip to Walt Disney World in April probably cannot come soon enough for you!
When you do arrive in the magic, you do not need to leave the park and re-enter for
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours!
Extended evening theme park hours is a benefit for registered Guests staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts and other select hotels. Cast Members will scan your tickets or MagicBands as you enter attractions once the Extended Evening Hours begin and will only allow those who are eligible to enter the attraction. There will also be Cast Members who will be checking bands and tickets at different areas of the park. So, if you are staying at an eligible resort, your ticket or MagicBand will allow you to stay in the park and take full advantage of the extra time!
During a recent trip my travelling companions had other plans for the night, so I went solo and took the complimentary theme park bus from
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas and headed to the Magic Kingdom to take advantage of the Extended Evening Hours! It was an amazing night, and I was able to walk on almost every attraction I wanted during the extended hours! Multiple rides on
Tron Lightcycle Run,
Space Mountain and
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train made for a memorable solo night! I also had an opportunity to have a video chat with some of my
planDisney family as I sailed across the sky on
Dumbo the Flying Elephant! I closed the Magic Kingdom down and was Disney tired when I arrived back at the BoardWalk Villas long after my usual bedtime! It’s funny how early I can get up and how late I can stay awake when I’m on Disney time!
Jerry, think about spring and enjoy your adventure in April! And don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
Kurt
