    If we leave Animal Kindom when it closes at 5 pm, will we make dinner reservations at Sci-Fi at 5:30?

    Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!  

    The folks at Disney Dining always suggest that you allow 90 minutes to get to the restaurant of your choice at the Walt Disney World Resort, so I would also pass on that recommendation.  There is a bus that goes directly from Disney's Animal Kingdom Park to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The trip itself lasts around 25 minutes or so.  However, that's assuming that you catch the bus immediately upon exiting the park.  You may have to wait for around 20 minutes if you've just missed the last bus.  Once at Hollywood Studios, you will need to allow time for getting through security and park entrance, as well as walking to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant.  Taking all of this in to account, I think you can see why that 90 minutes might be necessary.  With some luck you may arrive sooner, but I'd hate for you to miss that "out of this world " reservation.
