When is the least crowded time of year to visit Disneyland?

    Hello, Jamie!

Thanks so much for sending us your Disneyland Resort question. I’m thrilled to hear you want to plan a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!

If you’d like to explore the theme parks when the number of Guests is typically lower, plan on visiting mid-week (Tuesday to Thursday) during mid-January through mid-March, mid-April through mid-May, and mid-September through mid-November. However, it’s more common for park hours to be reduced and less entertainment and events to be scheduled during these periods. Attractions are also more likely to undergo refurbishment in months when fewer visitors are expected, so please keep that in mind when picking your trip dates.

No matter when you visit, be sure to utilize Disney FASTPASS to maximize your time in the theme parks by saving your spot in line virtually. To obtain a FASTPASS, visit the distribution area for an attraction offering this service. Insert your valid admission ticket into the FASTPASS machine to obtain a return time to board the attraction with a minimal wait. If you purchase Disney MaxPass, you’ll be able to make Disney FASTPASS selections from your mobile device with the Disneyland app once you enter the theme parks! You will also get unlimited Disney PhotoPass photo downloads each day you use Disney MaxPass, which makes it an even better value.

I hope this helps you plan a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation, Jamie! Please don’t hesitate to stop by again with more questions as your trip approaches.

    Wishing you magic,
