When is the least crowded time to visit Walt Disney World?

    Hi Susan!

This is a GREAT question and one that we all wish we had the magical answer for. It is very difficult to predict how busy Walt Disney World will be at any given time but there ARE a few things I usually use as a guide. First of all, the size of the crowds at the Parks and Resorts usually corresponds with school schedules. For example, during summer vacation and school holidays the number of people visiting Walt Disney World seems to increase. During special events such as Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party the same is true. And the closer it gets to major holidays, the larger the crowds typically are. Other than going by these few guidelines, I have a tough time guessing when the crowds will be at their lowest. But like you, I am always hoping I guess right when I plan our vacation!

My family has found one thing, though, that helps us escape the crowds a little bit, even if we happen to choose a busy season to vacation at Walt Disney World: Extra Magic Hours. This is a fantastic way to sneak in a little extra time at the Parks during certain hours when admission is limited to Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests only. Take a look HERE at the schedule to see which Park is hosting this fun experience during the days you will be there. And if you don't have dates yet, this calendar can definitely help you as you plan.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please let us know if we can do anything else to help you! Have a wonderful day!
