When is the least crowded time to go to Disney world and where is the best place to stay with a small dog

Hi Shannon! Thanks for bringing your questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are thinking about a vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth, and I'd be happy to help.

First, let's talk about your furry friend. Walt Disney World has four resort hotels that are dog-friendly:
    Disney's Art of Animation Resort
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
    Disney's Yacht Club Resort
The Cabins at Fort Wilderness Resort
These rooms have easy access to outdoor walkways and pet relief areas. Upon arrival, dogs and their ownerswill be greeted with a complimentary Pluto’s Welcome Kit.

Now let's talk about crowds. I come from a family of students and teachers, so we frequently travel when school is out and the parks are traditionally busy. Shannon, no matter which day or week you choose to visit Walt Disney World, you can still see your favorite attractions with minimal time in line by utilizing Disney's FastPass+ system and taking advantage of Walt Disney World Resort Hotel benefits like Extra Magic Hours. My family also likes to get an early start on the day and arrive at the theme parks at least thirty minutes prior to park opening. We like to consult the Park Hours calendar as our trip approaches to plan our days and arrival times.

That being said, if you are truly looking to explore Walt Disney World when crowds may be lighter than average, I suggest planning your trip outside of major holidays in the United States and typical school vacations. Late August, September, February (other than Presidents' Day week), and May could provide you with a less busy theme park experience.

Whenever you decide to travel to the Walt Disney World Resort, I know that your vacation will be magical, and we at the Disney Parks Moms Panel would love to help as you continue to plan.

    Have a magical day, Shannon!
