Welcome to
planDisney, Corey.
This is the question that everyone wants to know the answer to!
Walt Disney World Resort is the most popular vacation destination in the world. Therefore, there really is no time of the year that is not busy. However, that doesn't mean each day is equally busy. There are certainly less busy times of the year to visit.
I will say, there isn't a bad time to visit Walt Disney World Resort, Corey. Every day of the year is magical in its own way.
Having said that, if you're looking for less busy times, there are certain factors to be aware of. For example, Walt Disney World Resort is busier when children are out of school, during major holidays (e.g. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Memorial Day weekend, etc, etc.), and when
runDisney events are taking place. Therefore, if you avoid those times, you'll experience slightly lower crowds. Also, weekends tend to be busier than weekdays.
With all that in mind, visiting during the following times might be your best option:
- The middle of January to the middle of February.
- The last few days in February and the first week of March.
- The last week of April.
- Weekdays in the first half of May.
- The second half of August.
- September is pretty great to visit (except avoid Labor Day).
- October is also pretty great to visit (avoid Columbus Day).
- Weekdays in November (avoid the week of Thanksgiving).
- Weekdays in the first half of December.
I hope that's helpful, Corey. Whenever you decide to visit, I trust you'll have the BEST. DAY. EVER.
See ya real soon!
Mike
