I just learned that there is a space shuttle launch scheduled while we are in Disney. Is there a really good spot in the Disney area to view the shuttle? I know it won't be a close up view but to at least see the shuttle in flight.

By chance, a few years ago my family and I were visiting Disney when the space shuttle was launched.   We had not known it was scheduled, but we were traveling on one of the boats that moves between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios near the Disney Boardwalk.   The Captain obviously knew this was planned since he stopped the boat shortly before for all to see through the windows.   It was really neat.

Based upon this experience, I will tell you that you won't likely see much details of the shuttle other than the trail of smoke that works its way up.   As long as you are in a location with clear vision to the East you should see this happen.   Despite the somewhat limited viewing, I can tell you that we have shared this story with many others - its not often you get to experience history in the making.
