Hi there, Dana!
I couldn't be happier to have you visit me here at planDisney! Your most magical holiday begins in just a few days, so let's not waste any time and get right into how you can get your hands on theme park tickets that best suit your family's needs.
As a Florida resident and Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder, I had to do some research--and my dear UK friend
Louise sprinkled some pixie dust on this, too. What you are currently seeing online is not an error. You will only be able to buy theme park tickets for a shorter length of time once you arrive in the United States.
At the moment, the Disney theme parks utilize a theme park reservation system, so I strongly recommend that you don't wait until you're at the theme parks to purchase your tickets. It would be no fun to travel there and find out that they're at capacity for the day at that particular theme park. So, definitely hop online once you arrive in the United States or call
Guest Services before heading out on your adventure.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you want another ticket option, consider visiting one of the theme parks, like
EPCOT, for one of its After Hours events. These are fun nighttime events where you and a limited amount of Guests visit the park at night. You'll experience lower wait times for attractions, and select drinks and snacks (yummy Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar) are included. You can find ticket prices and
availability on this web page.
And speaking of EPCOT, your family will be here during the last few weeks of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. You will absolutely love the unique topiaries of some of your favorite Disney and Pixar characters. Also, try a few different food items from the various Outdoor Kitchens scattered around the park. Dana, if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to
revisit us here at planDisney. We're all ears!
Magic always,
LeAndra
