If I am the lead on MDE but my husband and I didn’t want to go to a restaurant our 4 family members want to go to. Can I book the reservation under my account/name and they go to podium and say it’s under my name? (Even though I won’t be present?)

Hey Natalie, and welcome to planDisney!

You can certainly make a restaurant reservation for the additional individuals at your party. I, too, am the lead on many of our vacations, and now that my kids are older, they will sometimes want to experience a restaurant that is not the same as I want to experience. In this case, you will select the restaurant in question and as you proceed through the process, select the number of guests that will be enjoying the meal and book. When you arrive at the “Dining Confirmation” page, just “update party,” select the guests who will be dining and “save party.” So when they arrive at the restaurant, they can give their name for the reservation. Yes, the dining reservation can be made with your My Disney Experience account.

Please let us know how we can help you further regarding your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

    Have a magical experience!
