Lightning Lane Multi Pass, and I am here for it.
Based on what you've shared, it sounds like your in-laws may have purchased a travel package that includes a stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel. If this is the case, one of the
perks of staying on property and in the Disney bubble is that each registered guest will receive
one complimentary Lightning Lane Entry that can be used during their resort stay. I love having this benefit during my stays because I don't have to schedule this and can just scan my pass when I'm ready to enjoy an eligible Lightning Lane attraction.
Adding the Lightning Lane Multi Pass to enjoy even more attractions with reduced wait times for your visit is easier than saying, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious." Once everyone has scanned their theme park ticket and entered the park, open the
Disneyland app and you'll find the option to purchase the pass right on the home screen. Press the button and follow the prompts to complete your purchase. You can make your first Lightning Lane selection as soon as the pass has been added to the ticket.
Before you head to the parks for your first day, I recommend linking everyone's tickets in the app to make booking Lightning Lane selections for your group quick and easy. To do this, open the Disneyland app and tap the "☰" to open the menu. Next, tap the "My Tickets & Passes" tile, followed by tapping the "+" in the upper right corner. Tap "Link Tickets & Passes" and you can add everyone's tickets on the next screen. I like using the camera feature to scan each ticket barcode.
Finally, don't forget that unlimited digital downloads from
Disney PhotoPass photographers from the day are included with your Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It's so nice having someone else take the pictures so everyone in the group can be in the photo. I find this especially helpful when meeting characters, and pictures are always my favorite souvenirs from my visits.
