Hi Lauren, (or whomever im privileged to converse:)) Putting my Planner together. i see that Cape May Buffet is on the Disney Dining Plan for 2024. But ive read currently there is an upcharge for CrabLegs. So will we have to pay above our dinining credit?

    Ahoy there, Rochelle!

Welcome back to planDisney. I'm delighted you've returned with another wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. I'm thrilled to hear you're planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth in early 2024 - the countdown has officially begun! Now, before you start packing your suitcase, let's discuss the Disney Dining Plan and its inclusions.

You made a great choice selecting the Disney Dining Plan! It'll allow you to explore the hundreds of dining offerings located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. With this dining plan, you'll enjoy one Quick-Service meal, one Table-Service meal, and one snack or nonalcoholic beverage per night of your Disney Resort hotel stay, in addition to a Resort-refillable mug! When Guests utilize their Disney Dining Plan to enjoy Walt Disney World Resort buffet-type meals, the cost of the buffet and one nonalcoholic (or alcoholic, for Guests ages 21+) beverage is covered by the dining plan.

Rochelle, if you're a seafood enthusiast, there's no better choice than dinnertime at Cape May Cafe. This pretty pastel locale serves up fresh surf-and-turf meals every evening via a bountiful buffet! I'm currently visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth, so I went straight to the source with your question. I checked in with a Cast Member at Cape May Cafe who indicated that, at this time, tasty Snow Crab Legs are not included in the cost of the buffet dinner, and are therefore not covered by the Disney Dining Plan. Instead, you may choose to add on Snow Crab Legs on a price-per-pound basis. The Cast Member I spoke with shared that, at the end of your meal, you'll be provided with an itemized receipt and have the opportunity to pay for any add-ons, like additional beverages, Snow Crab Legs, and gratuities.

With a late January 2024 visit, you'll be among the first Guests to experience the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, Rochelle! Next year's festival runs January 12 to February 19, 2024, and features colorful culinary creations from around the globe. Be sure to keep an eye out for the Disney Eats: Foodie Guide for the event, as it's likely you'll see some scrumptious seafood offerings on the menu!

I hope you've found this information helpful, Rochelle. Thanks again for stopping by planDisney with your exciting vacation planning question. I really enjoyed researching this topic in "real life" on your behalf! I'm wishing you a vacation filled with magical memories. Be sure to revisit me at planDisney anytime with any additional questions you might have!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
