Hi Laura, Where are the pickup/drop offs for the monorail? We are staying at the BW and we aren't sure if a rental car is beneficial to go to MK/AK/DT Disney? We are there for 4 1/2 days (8am Sun to 5 pmThur). Hoping to go to MK/HS full days, AK/EP hal

    Hello again, Alison!

Thank you for the follow up question.  I love helping you plan your trip!  The Monorail has stops at the Magic Kingdom, the Contemporary Resort, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the Polynesian Resort, and the Ticket & Transportation Center.   Once you are at the Ticket & Transportation Center, you can transfer to the Epcot Monorail.  This Monorail only travels between Epcot and the Ticket & Transportation Center. From Disney's Boardwalk Resort, you can walk or take a boat to Epcot or Hollywood Studios.  Once you are at Epcot, you can use the Monorail to get to the Magic Kingdom very easily.  So really you only need to take a bus to visit Animal Kingdom depending on how you are dividing up your half days.  I really don't think you will need to rent a car.  We have never rented a car and use the bus transportation system all the time.  By the time you drive there, park the car, and take a tram to the gate of the theme parks, I really don't think you will save any time at all.  Plus, if you are flying into Orlando International Airport, Disney's Magical Express will take you to your resort saving you the cost of a rental car or taxi.  Downtown Disney is just as easy to get to by bus.  If you are at a one of the theme parks and want to go to Downtown Disney, I would suggest getting on the bus to Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and getting off at Congress Park. Downtown Disney is a short walk from there along a path behind Congress Park (you can ask the bus driver to show you the way.)  I am very excited for your vacation, Alison.  I know it will be magical!
