Hi Laura, We just switched over to the Royal Rooms at the Port Orleans Riverside, from Wilderness Lodge. Keeping my autistic son in mind, do you have any recommendations for navigating this resort easily. I am concerned about distance to main building.

    Hi Jacqueline,

Thank you so much for the question!  I actually stayed in the Royal Rooms at Port Orleans- Riverside just this past weekend so your question is perfect!  I would recommend requesting to stay at Oak Manor.  This is really just across the river and there are two bridges and a short walk to the Riverside Mill Food Court and the Main building.  Literally it took us between 5-10 minutes to get there.  Port Orleans-Riverside is such a beautiful resort.  I do think your son will just love it.   There are three bus stops at Port Orleans so it is easy to navigate.  The rooms themselves are lovely.  I really loved being able to "set off" the fireworks above the beds.  It was the perfect was to end the evening!  Please let me know if I can help you further, Jacqueline.  Have a magical vacation!
