Hi Carole, and thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
I am happy to hEAR you are planning a stay at the new
Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. From the sneak peaks shown on the
Disney Parks Blog, it appears these impressive new accommodations within the Disney Vacation Club portfolio will contain a mix of rustic charm and modern touches. Fortunately we don't have to wait much longer as this newest property in the Disney Vacation Club portfolio opens officially next month!
Carole, at this point in time there are currently a mix of two different watercraft serving the route between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Magic Kingdom. This includes both cruiser boats, which are capable of accommodating scooters or Electric Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) and wheelchairs without a required transfer, as well as smaller launch boats which are not capable of accommodating scooters or ECVs.
While there is no set schedule or guarantee of which boats will be serving the route at any given time, in general the launch and cruiser boats tend to alternate. At this point in time there has been no information released to suggest that the boat transportation schedule will be altered to include only cruiser boats once Copper Creek Villas & Cabins opens next month. Therefore, in order to ensure that your scooter can be accommodated I suggest you plan to take Disney's complimentary bus transportation to Magic Kingdom to get you to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Carole, wishing you a fabulous upcoming vacation in one of those amazing Cabins...I am sure it will be a trip to remember!
Trish
