Hi Cosette,
Thank you for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My family and I love spending as much time as possible in the Theme Parks at
Walt Disney World Resort, and we enjoy trying to squeeze one last ride in just before the Theme Park closes.
Typically, the queue for most attractions will close at Theme Park closing. So, if the Theme Park closes at 8 pm, you will need to be in line by 8 pm. At that point Cast Members will close the queue. All the guests in the queue will be allowed to ride, regardless of the wait time. With that being said, my family and I do like to be in the queue around five minutes prior to closing, just to make sure we arrive in time. Keep in mind that attractions and hours are always subject to change, so this isn't a hard and fast rule.
From time to time, there are some attractions that will close early. If that is the case, a sign will be clearly posted at the entrance of the attraction with the closing time. I have seen this several times at
Toy Story Mania!. What my family and I like to do is pick our favourite attraction or an attraction with long wait times at the end of the evening and enjoy the attraction one last time before the park closes. While waiting in the queue, we enjoy talking about our favourite parts of the day, which passes the time while we wait for our final ride of the day.
I hope that helps, Cosette. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance, we are always happy to help.
Stephanie
